TERMS & CONDITIONS

Last updated: May 2026 | AMD Polished Concrete — Melbourne, VIC

Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of AMD Polished Concrete’s services, website, and any agreements entered into between you (“the Client”) and AMD Polished Concrete (“we”, “our”, or “us”).

By requesting a quote, accepting a proposal, or engaging our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.

01 — Our Services

AMD Polished Concrete provides professional concrete flooring services in Melbourne, including:

  • Concrete grinding and surface preparation
  • Grind and seal flooring systems
  • Mechanical concrete polishing
  • Epoxy flooring for residential and commercial spaces

All services are performed by experienced tradespeople using professional-grade equipment and materials. Scope of work is defined in the individual quote or proposal provided to the client.

02 — Quotes & Pricing

All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Quotes are based on information and site conditions available at the time of assessment.

  • Prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise
  • Additional work identified during the project will be quoted separately before proceeding
  • Site conditions that differ from those assessed may affect the final price
  • Travel and access costs may apply for certain locations outside our standard service areas

We do not proceed with additional costs without client approval.

03 — Deposits & Payment

  • A deposit may be required to confirm and schedule your project
  • The deposit amount will be specified in your quote or proposal
  • Final payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing
  • Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, or as otherwise agreed
  • Late payments may incur additional charges

Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or work has commenced.

04 — Client Responsibilities

To ensure the project runs smoothly, the client agrees to:

  • Provide safe and clear access to the worksite at the agreed times
  • Remove furniture, floor coverings, and personal items prior to commencement
  • Ensure the area is free from moisture issues, unless previously discussed
  • Inform us of any known issues with the slab, subfloor, or existing coatings
  • Ensure adequate ventilation where required for epoxy or sealer applications
  • Keep the cured floor clear of heavy traffic for the recommended cure period

AMD Polished Concrete is not liable for delays or additional costs resulting from inadequate site preparation or access.

05 — Workmanship & Finish

  • Natural concrete contains inherent variation in colour, aggregate, and texture — these are characteristics of the material, not defects
  • Pre-existing cracks, control joints, patchwork, or repairs in the slab will remain visible after polishing or sealing
  • Final appearance is influenced by the existing slab quality and preparation conditions
  • Gloss levels and aggregate exposure are achieved to industry-standard specifications

We will discuss expected outcomes with you prior to commencing work to ensure your expectations are aligned with what the existing slab can achieve.

06 — Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations with more than 5 business days notice — deposit refundable (less any materials ordered)
  • Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice — deposit is non-refundable
  • Rescheduling requests are subject to availability and must be made at least 48 hours in advance
  • AMD Polished Concrete reserves the right to reschedule due to weather, equipment issues, or circumstances beyond our control

07 — Liability

AMD Polished Concrete carries appropriate public liability insurance. Our liability is limited to the value of the services provided under the agreed scope of work.

  • We are not liable for pre-existing damage to the slab, substrate, or surrounding areas
  • We are not liable for damage caused by client misuse or failure to follow care instructions after completion
  • We are not responsible for consequential or indirect losses arising from delays or project outcomes

Any damage claims must be raised in writing within 7 days of project completion.

08 — Warranty

  • Workmanship is warranted for 12 months from the date of completion
  • Warranty covers defects in application, not normal wear, heavy impact, or chemical damage
  • Product warranties are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions
  • Warranty is void if the floor has been altered, repaired, or treated by a third party

09 — Photography & Portfolio

AMD Polished Concrete reserves the right to photograph completed projects for portfolio, website, and social media use. If you prefer your project not be photographed or published, please advise us in writing prior to commencement.

10 — Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
